Safeguarding biodiversity
We are working to reduce our impact on the environment and preserve biodiversity by making these issues central to our industrial activities and working in close collaboration with our stakeholders.
A partnership to improve our understanding and our actions
For several years we have been engaged in constructive discussions with Bretagne Vivante - an association concerned with protecting the natural environment in Brittany. The initiative began in 2022 when we signed a partnership agreement designed to help us address biodiversity issues across all Laïta sites.
Our commitments and objectives
We are committed to launching a biodiversity assessment across all our industrial sites, for completion by the end of 2025. Based on the findings and working alongside our stakeholders, our biodiversity policy will be in place by 2026.
To facilitate this initiative, an in-house multidisciplinary working group has been set up, comprising ten staff representatives.
Informing and rallying our teams
Raising awareness amongst our teams is a key element of our commitment. In 2024, 15 employees took part in a biodiversity training day facilitated by Bretagne Vivante.
In 2025, three organisations attended in Festiv’ Laïta, a series of staff gatherings across the various Laïta sites to raise awareness to biodiversity matters - an introduction to nesting boxes, initiatives run by local organisations, links between biodiversity and agriculture and an exploration of the fauna and flora on our sites.
