Innovation is the driver for our development, through which we create value for all our stakeholders - partner farmers, customers and consumers, employees and suppliers.

Innovation at Laïta is above all the pleasure of sharing a human experience, creating value in every sense of the word.

Innovating to create value

Innovation occupies a central position in the Even group’s strategy, securing an enduring presence for its business activities in the marketplace now and in the future. Each division, of which Laïta is one, has genuine freedom to design, test and implement concrete, pragmatic innovations for real issues on the ground.

This approach results in the development of numerous dairy-based innovations every year, with constant regard for quality, performance and optimisation of costs.

To satisfy customer expectations in terms of taste, functionality and food safety, we rely on the expertise of our employees and solid external partnershipsThese ambitious, long-term cooperations and the innovative solutions that arise from them are fully in keeping with our purpose - to increase the value of the milk produced by our members in a sustainable manner.

A cross-functional approach

Innovation at Laïta is not an end in itself, it’s a shared culture, a collective mindset that’s reflected every day in the commitment of the staff.

Our approach to innovation is structured and cross-functional; it permeates every division of the organisation and every business area and is underpinned by clearly defined roles and dedicated working groups.

To guide our actions and direct our efforts towards areas with high potential, the management committee has set out three strategic approaches to innovation:

  • Using raw materials to create value
  • Sustainable production to reduce our footprint
  • Using our expertise to drive growth

Each division and each business area devise practical projects based on these approaches, to give direction and add value to the organisation and its partners.

The structure of this method has allowed Laïta the freedom to promote creativity, maintain consistency in its initiatives and accelerate the transition from idea to action.

A 360° approach to innovation

Laïta focuses on product innovation, but innovation extends to all areas of the business:

  • industrial technologies and processes
  • human resources
  • digital
  • marketing processes
  • product sectors: consumer products, dairy ingredients, health nutrition, food for young mammals

Turning ideas into action

Laïta’s approach to innovation is underpinned by a clear, shared methodology structured around three key phases: strategy, exploration and implementation.

Each product sector has a central ID committee (Innovation & Development) which sets out the strategic areas for innovation in its own domain. The committees prioritise ideas, select the most promising ones and steer innovation and improvement projects through the various stages of the process.

The innovation team plays a key supporting role by setting out the framework for the process, training staff and providing shared tools to guide them, especially in the exploration phase. This approach promotes consistency, cross-function collaboration and collective engagement around innovation.

Bringing innovation to life

At Laïta, innovation is above all a mindset that revolves around openness, sharing and collective creativity. We believe in collective strength, the right to make mistakes and the motivation to try things out, experiment and learn together. Discover how our teams bring each new idea, each trial and each project to life - all of them opportunities to advance, adapt and try out new pathways and to grow together with curiosity, resilience and confidence. These projects and testimonies are a positive illustration of the way our teams cultivate innovation every day.

Marketing innovation

"Innovation has always been part of my professional career and my job, and the same goes for Laïta, where it is part of the strategy. It’s exciting to lead an innovation, especially when it’s a joint project involving different teams within the company who share the same objectives. In the marketing context, brand marketing in particular, innovation allows you to express every aspect of the job and progress, acquiring new skills."

Marie Paule, Director of Marketing and Brand Development since 2009.
