Maintenance - expert teams driving performance and autonomy

When the new ultra-fresh (UF) line in the Paysan Breton range was launched, the maintenance teams were at the forefront - adapting, transforming and improving the reliability of an existing production system. A demanding project carried out by grassroots teams, demonstrating their expert technical knowledge and team spirit. Interview with Florian, maintenance team coordinator at Ploudaniel (29), who shares his experience.

A technical challenge tackled as a team

Adapting a production line to handle different formats without adding any new equipment, and making sure it’s reliable and easy to use - that was the real challenge for the maintenance teams at Ploudaniel! To get the UF production line up and running for the launch of the Paysan Breton range in early 2026 required coordination, ingenuity and teamwork. The maintenance teams devised and implemented practical solutions to respond as closely as possible to the operators’ needs.

There were a number of issues that the technicians involved in the project had to deal with - precision mechanical adjustments, modifications to the conveyor and automation upgrades. They devised tailor-made solutions to respond to these challenges, including specially-made parts to facilitate format changes and improve day-to-day operations on the production floor.
