Encounters that inspire
Feedback on Laïta’s 2024 Job Tour from employees, local officials and applicants showed how closely the event can match talent with opportunity. With its openness to a wide range of profiles, insight into the industrial world and progress within the company, everyone sees it as a tangible way of learning, reinventing themselves and finding their niche at Laïta.
A community-based initiative

The HR staff from Laïta go into town centres and set up their stand in localities where the company’s facilities are based and neighbouring communities. The pop-up stand in the company’s colours welcomes everyone - students, job-seekers and working people alike.
“It’s a clever idea. The Laïta Job Tour comes out to meet the local residents, some of whom would probably never think to step through the company’s doors. Here, it’s the jobs that come out to them,” says Marie-Christine Cotin, Mayor of Créhen, who will be opening the next Laïta Job Tour on 17 September. She also points out that the event helps “break down a few preconceptions - lots of people have no idea what goes on inside a factory. The Laïta Job Tour is a chance for them to find out.”
A variety of jobs that inspire
Testimonial from Carole, Laboratory Technician
With the Laïta Job Tour the company develops close connections between recruiters and potential candidates. This approach brings a human touch to recruitment by focusing on face-to-face conversation rather than anonymous CVs.
Carole, a laboratory technician hired after meeting the teams at the 2024 Tour, explains: “I wanted to move into a different sector and was already looking at the agri-food industry when the Laïta Job Tour trailer caught my eye on the marketplace. I had an interesting chat with the recruiters and the idea of working for Laïta appealed to me. I was onboarded and trained, and given the opportunity to grow within the company. It was the approachable human aspect that won me over.”
She adds that the experience reflects “the friendly, people-focused spirit of the cooperative,” and that “if you’re motivated and willing to learn, there are lots of opportunities for career development and personal growth!”
Laïta - a major employer with a committed, human approach

Laïta’s workforce has been growing ever since it was set up in 2009, with an average of 250 permanent staff members taken on every year. The company now has a workforce of over 3,000.
Laïta needs a wide range of profiles - agri-food professionals of course, but also candidates from other sectors. The company welcomes anyone who would like to know more about careers in the dairy sector and is willing to take them on, train them and inspire them.
Alexis explains: “To carry out our operations we recruit candidates for a very wide variety of roles. At the moment we’re concerned with rethinking our recruitment process and ensuring an optimal quality of life at work for our employees.” He also points out that joining Laïta means “securing a meaningful job with real responsibilities and opportunities to grow. At Laïta, anyone can find a place if they have the motivation to learn.”
